Pros: Fast as a thief, installed quite easily with running DDU first.
Cons: Does not always go to sleep properly, sometimes requiring a reboot to get out of sleep. Not every time thankfully
Overall Review: Overall it's a good card. I'm not going to get into what stepping AMD used for its chips, that's kind of beyond this kind of review. At $999 its a good deal compared to the 4080 at $1200 plus, take that away and price them the same I would probably go for the 4080.
Pros: The compact size, two 8-pin power connectors mounted on front of card is what I was looking for. I am replacing/upgrading my RTX 3090 Ti card the 3090 Ti is huge, and the 12-pin power connector is on the end of the card, whish adds length needed for clearance. With the 3090 Ti the power connector is into my front fans, unless I bend it,..
Cons: No cons, the vapor chamber issue seems to have been sorted out, and this card has no issues with hot-spot temps.
Overall Review: I would recommend this card. I was worried about the vapor-chamber issue after this card was first released/launched. But I still wanted this card, I was disappointed the card was sold out on launch day, as I had already pre-ordered the EK water block for it, and after not being able to buy the card I canceled the pre-order, and waited for the card to restock on shelves,.. I did not want to pay $300 dollars over MSRP for the reference PCB , so I waited, and then bought this card for a fair price. I have been gaming, benchmarking, and overclocking this card with factory cooling solution and it has worked just fine. I do plan on ordering the EK water block down the road, that's why I needed a reference PCB card, but for now the card looks and functions great! as is with the sleek all black design, and the factory triple-fan cooler works vary well.
Overall Review: same performance as 4080 but 200$ cheaper
Pros: -Cheap compared to 4080ti with similar performance -Very strong graphics card. I've been running MW2 at 200+ FPS on Ultra settings and Warzone 2.0 around 220-250fps on Perfomance settings with some High/Ultra on select settings. -Software is very easy to use, can easily overclock if you wish or change graphic settings globally or per game. I keep mine non-OC'd as I don't really play games on high settings.
Cons: -Usually run hotter than my previous cards, however, I've not had any overheating problems like some people may have experienced with MBA design cards. After tuning the fans, my card usually sits at around 40c and 45c junction temps and under ultra settings load on MW2/Warzone 2.0, High on Life, GTA V, and others, temps usually sit at around 70c and junction temp at 85c. I've never had my junction temp reach above 90c. -Fans can be loud when under a lot of stress, but that is normal I guess. -Driver software is not as good as Nvidia but still easy to use and you can do quite a lot with it.
Overall Review: - Overall, would recommend the product. Decently priced high performance card. Can run hot but can easily be fixed by tuning fan speeds. Probably can make it cooler even when ultra settings if you tune the fans, if you don't mind the fans sounding like there's a jet engine beside you. - At least for the card that I have received, I never had any overheating issue or any situations when the card peaked or went over 90c. - If you're looking to build a high end gaming PC and has the budget but don't want to spend over $2000 cad for 4090. This is a very good card with very good performance.
Pros: Fits in Ncase M1 Works with a corsair sff 600, 10700k, PC4 25600 3200mhz ram, dual nvme, and 1440p monitor.
Cons: Price - it's a reference model that is $50 more than AMD's ref. *though I did get a free game... AMD adrenaline overlay causes lag in some games. *use afterburner instead Ray tracing leaves something to be desired, but I knew this coming in
Overall Review: If you're looking for a reference model because you need all the space you can get, this one is usually in stock. Coming from an FE 3080, you definitely see a performance uptick. Is it worth the cost? That is subjective and dependent on how you game. Don't get too wrapped up into value vs performance because these things are always nice to haves. It's also funny to me that reviews bench at 1080p with a current gen i9. If you're looking to buy anything above a 30 series rtx or 7k rx, you don't game at that resolution. With that said, your system should be specced accordingly. I am probably at the lower end of this use case, but its fine for now. It fits in my ncase m1 with two 120x15mm at the bottom as well (which cuts down the temps a little). In any case. I had the upgrade itch. My son went from a 1600x and 2080ti to a 5800x3d and 3080. Was this necessary? Probably not, but I'm OK with it as it will future proof both of us for a little while.
Pros: Tweaked this card to run pretty cool under load . So far so good !
Cons: Its big! Had to remove cable management bracket
Overall Review: Been a RED team user for years! This card is fast , cool and quiet !!
Pros: Some people noted some thermal issues, I havent experienced anything like that yet. I have been running it for the past 6 hours at full load with a TGP of 290 watts and its been at the peak 69C in a HYTe Y69 chassis.
Cons: The packaging is good, but you dont get all the extras you might get with other brands. Thats doesnt take away from the overall experience in my opinion though.
Overall Review: Id purchase it again if I needed a second GPU. I wish the Raytracing performance was a bit more impressive, but then again the game support is hit and miss.
Pros: Performance was strong when the card was not overheating; however, that was only in select games at at low settings. The size of the card. The built quality.
Cons: When I put settings on high even at 1080p the hotspot was reaching 110 Celsius. The card was throttling because of the high heat. I also had 2 shutdowns with a corsair 850 80+ platinum power supply. I am assuming the card was drawing more power than the psu could provide.
Overall Review: Newegg was very accommodating with the return, which made the experience better. I am waiting for a Powercolor 7900 XTX to arrive at the moment. I hope the new card doesn't have the cooling issues as well. If it does, I will most likely go with a 4080.
