Pros: Superb 4k performance Capable undervolting and power tuning (took some time to find the sweet spot) Solid build quality Proper airflow in case = below 95°c Junction temp, no throttling
Cons: DP 1.4 cable causes signal blackout flickers, had to switch to HDMI 2.1 (issue resolved) Tessellation: AMD Optimized causes games to minimize from full screen, had to disable to stabilize (ie Fortnite with unreal 5.1, raytracing & nanite virtualized geometry enabled)
Overall Review: A fantastic card with the right setup, sometimes a bit fidgety with the AMD software, hopefully can be resolved soon. A nice step up from the RTX 3070. Definitely worth getting, would be better if price was reduced $100-200 Card Rev 1.01
Pros: Ran great out of the box. Not a con just be aware that - This card is about 12.75 inches long. Just barely fit in my case
Cons: After playing with the card for a bit I started looking at the Temperatures. On my card the difference (delta) of the edge temp and junction (hotspot) temp was too high. From what I have read in forums the delta should be less than 30C. My delta was 40C or more --> 60C - 101C edge to junction temps. I have RMA'd the card and will test the new one when it arrives.
Overall Review: Look at your Temps edge/current and junction/hotspot to make sure that you have a good card. If your temps are good then have fun this is a great card.
Pros: -Fast as Hell. 4K Native above 60hz. -Very good looking card. -ASRock has always impressed me with the build quality. Does not look or feel cheap in any way. -The exact same size as my ASRock Phantom 6900 XT, and the cooling solution works. -I do mean effective when I say over 3.0ghz. I got the 6900 XT to 2.8 using AMD tuning but effective was more like 2.65. -The RGB implementation looks GREAT. The stock pictures do not do this card justice.
Cons: -It is not quite up to the level of the 4090, although you'll be close enough after overclocking - AND it doesn't cost $1600.00 -- So, more of a pro, really. -Tracing those rays still eludes AMD hardware.
Overall Review: Just like last Gen, somehow I was able to snag one of these the day after release. And just like last Gen I wanted the Taichi or Nitro +, but I had a great experience with the Phantom 6900 XT which made this an easy buy. I held my finger off the buy button 5 times for the 4090 and I'm glad I did. Truly, Saving 600 is better than raytracing. Don't know why AMD didn't lean hard into the fact that this can go to 3.0ghz and above in clocks - as it does boost your FPS by a substantial amount. If you don't really care about raytracing and you want top FPS AND a card to tinker with in the ways of overclocking, this is it.
Pros: - Capable of getting 144Hz on 3840 x 2160 on demanding competitive games such as Apex Legends - Better power delivery and higher max TDP at default and at max 15% slider in Radeon Drivers - Size of this GPU is on the lower end at 330mm and "only" 3 slots as opposed to other aftermarket GPUs that are in excess of 335mm and/or quad slot cards - AMD AV1 harware encoder works with latest OBS at the time of this writing (OBS 29.0.0) - subjective: design of the GPU itself in terms of look and ARGB is pretty nice to me
Cons: - Not huge FPS increase in 1080p or 1440p as many, if not most, games will be CPU bound or engine limit bound. - Possibly rushed job on ASrock's end on putting the GPU together; screws for the heatsink mount were not tight, as I was able to do multiple extra turns on 3 out of the 4 screws on the mount. Also rescrewed on backplate because initially memory junction was getting over 100C even at stock during Timespy benchmarking. - Prior to tightening the screws, Memory junction was hitting excess of 100C. Now it is at high 80-86C max even with max 15% power limit, indicating bad contact with either backplate or heatsink. - Possibly bad thermal paste application? The GPU still hits 104C, though on average it seems to be around 80s during gaming. Though this is after undervolting the GPU via Andrenaline slider to 1082mV, but with max 15% power limit and maxing fan profile. - Running at default settings on everything on AMD drivers caused weird instability with window mode for games, particularly low end or less demanding games, such that they crashed. - High wattage for idle or content consuming at 110-120W while using 2x 4k displays and a third 1080p display. Has not been fixed with drivers. - ASrock still includes their "Void warranty if removed" sticker on one of the four heatsink mounting screws of the GPU. I've seen many reports across the web where they have used this to deny warranty or RMA simply because the sticker is gone either because it fell off or the end user swapped thermal paste or pads. Kinda terrible on ASrock's end to still enforce this policy. Basically I can't repaste this GPU until the warranty is up, even if the GPU might have a poor thermal paste job unless I want to RMA over "high temperatures" (which will probably either be denied as "within spec" or complete avoidance in responding).
Overall Review: EDIT 2023/4/13: It's been several months, and the GPU hot spot temperatures eventually hit 110C regularly. I attempted to see how the thermal paste application is on the GPU and found that the mounting is awful (seen in new attached picture). I did a first repaste, and found the temperatures still awful, so opened it up again, but this time I attempted to press down and mold the thermal pads on the VRAM modules a little bit and reapplied thermal paste. After remounting and screwing it back up, I am happy to say that my temperatures no longer go over 90C on the hot spot, and memory Junction is healthy under 85C as well. In conclusion, the mounting and contact of the die to the heatsink is awful made worse by having possibly too thick thermal pads on all the VRAM modules surrounding the die. If you find similar 100+ C tempteraures at stock I recommend returning and getting another if you don't want the hassle of trying to deal with repasting and remounting and molding the VRAM thermal pads. END EDIT---- At the end of the day, this GPU has overall improved my day to day experience with games and other activities. I have a 3820x2160 144hz Aorus 32" gaming monitor as my main display, and my previous GPUs (6800XT Sapphire Nitro SE) had difficulty keeping up that refresh rate with that resolution on a swath of games from old UE3 games (Smite, Paladins) to demanding competitive games (Apex Legends). Additionally, I normally recorded gameplay via x264 off of my 5950X because older AMD hardware encoding was very poor in quality for the file size it spits out. After getting this GPU, I've been able to maintain higher FPS on all games and keep visual motion smooth on the 4K 144hz screen, and my CPU overhead has been considerably lessened by using OBS's latest support for AMD AV1 hardware encoding. The quality of the video has surpassed previous x264 videos at similar file sizes. Having said that, there are plenty of things to nitpick and complain about both on AMD and ASrock's side. AMD obviously has much work to do on the driver end, as I have been experiencing a lot of instability on default settings (though this may have something to do with using borderless windowed mode on most of my games), as well as considerably higher power draw on near idle tasks (previous GPU was at sub 50W for idle or web/video streaming, now it's 110W or more). ASrock for their part have engineered and designed a good card with regards to size and power delivery. They are also overly optimistic with the default and max power of this card as I believe Sapphire and XFX aftermarket cards don't have as high TDP and boost clocks yet have much larger heatsink coolers (might be a plus if you enjoy higher defaults, but negative for higher temps). However their lack of QC on the card causes me worry when at default settings the memory junction was hitting excess of 100C, and even after retightening the screws to mostly solve this, the core junction still touches 102-104C which indicates possibly a bad thermal paste job or bad heatsink contact. Also the "Void warranty if removed" sticker and their enforcement of this policy as quite the anti-consumer move, and my experience with ASrock warranty support with motherboards has been nothing but questions off a checklist or complete avoidance and lack of communication. Overall I would give the card and engineering of it 4 eggs. It's honestly a great GPU for 4K gaming and recording, but ASrock support and quality assurance just make me instantly subtract an egg. I can only recommend this card if it's the next cheapest GPU of the 7900XTX series after the reference design.
Pros: its a beastie. have only been using for about a week, but surpasses my tuf 6800 in performance. great that it is almost the exact same size as the TUF 6800. edit.. the onboard argb header is a bonus as i can mix my argb with the motherboard header, but the software has a small list of available light effects to chose from
Cons: as in a previous review. before installing, i checked the 4 screws on the gpu pressure plate, and they were in fact loose, and i had to tighten them up. duno if its due to the heat transfer pad material slowly compressing after construction, but got 2 turns on the screws to snug them up, and no junction temp issue. i vertical mounted it, and have 3 case fans that are also blowing directly up into the gpu cooler too. the fans are always on in this card too unlike the TUF 6800 that turns the fans off during normal non-gaming applications that don't stress the gpu
Overall Review: loving it, but sadly its too much gpu for my 5600x cpu, and bottlenecks it lol. looking for a new cpu i can put on a x570 board that will go nicely with it. 5800x3d are only in the hands of resellers now at a premium price. what is a good cpu match for this beast on an TUF x570 board?
Pros: First: NO DRIVER ISSUES. Not even the "high power at desktop". * AMD adrenaline software gives you everything you need in one stop. While I had NVidia, I had to use something like MSI Afterburner to overclock the GPU and read temps but the Adrenaline software is incredible. It gives all the OC you need in one kit and tracks your average game performance for you! This made measuring my upgrade even faster. * Migrating from a 3070 Ti, the performance uplift is on average +50% across the board. While $999 is a high price for just the one part, I definitely got my money's worth post pandemic pricing. The 3070 Ti was going for $999 in 2020 and 2021. * The card I got is performing as advertised in benchmarks from 3rd party reviewers. I am running at an ultrawide 3440 x 1440 (144 hz) screen so I split the difference between 2k and 4k gaming results. (160 fps average in MWII benchmark for example)
Cons: * Had to upgrade to 1000w PSU and it was a huge pain to install. * Feels like it BARELY fits in my case. * I have noticed a little texture popping/glitching in only one title so far, Far Cry 5 but not sure of the cause as it does not occur in other games I have tested. * It is very easy to heat soak the cooler on this GPU. ** UPDATE ** Had to return the first one because edge to core delta was well over 30 degrees. 64 degrees edge had a 96 degrees junction.
Overall Review: I highly recommend this GPU if you have anything older than the 30 series and you were waiting for pandemic prices to fade I am currently on an R5 5600X for the CPU and so far it has only choked in Division 2 benchmark. COD says it's 5% benchmark which is incredible. This little CPU can feed this hungry beast and keep pace but it might have to do with my desired resolution and frame rate. Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead 2 both see averages around 100-120 fps with most settings turned up and no FSR. My 3070 Ti barely managed 60 fps in both those titles. For everyone citing "muh driver issues", it's not 2016 anymore. NVidia cursed me with a SUPER HORRIBLE launch driver with MWII where the game would crash, load black squares instead of textures, and performed horribly. That was November 2022. ReLive is competitive to Shadow play now and I barely used Ray Tracing when I had it. I went from a 1080 to 2070 Super to 3070 Ti and used RT like "once" during benchmarks to see performance hit. I can turn it on with my current 7900 XTX if I want the screenshot and otherwise it doesn't affect me. It is very easy to heat soak the cooler on this GPU. Overall Review: initially this card performed great and was very satisfied. But the junction tempearture has slowly creeped up to hit 110C limit (started around 87C) with maxed out fan speeds. I purchased this card with hope to avoid the overheating issues that plagued the AMD OEM cards. Hoping for good treatment from ASRock, and will update with results.

Overall Review: Yes, but also beware of hotspot issues, make sure you get what you paid for. If anything buy a different model, it'll be worth the extra cash.
Pros: fans are pretty quiet. great 4k card for the money says it requires an 800w psu but 4k max only uses like 350w
Cons: make sure you have a big enough case to fit the card and have some airflow for the fans to scoop up air fits in my fractal torrent nano but have to have an external 120 fan blowing air through the bottom of the case at the gpu to help keep temps down
Overall Review: great alternative to the 4080 switched from a 3080ti and dont miss a thing
Pros: My card didn't reach the 110 degrees on the gpu junction temperature.
Cons: At stock, my VRam was reaching 108 degrees. Maybe a bad contact between the VRam and the heatsink?
Overall Review: It's my second RMA with the Rx 7900 xtx series, the first return was because of the 110 degrees on the gpu junction temperature with the MBA card, now I got a 108 degrees on the VRam with a custom card. What's next?
